## What We Believe

The financial plan is both qualitative and quantitative. That's not a philosophy we invented, it's what our clients tell us.
When a client comes to us with a complex situation (a business worth more than they realized, a tax exposure they hadn't accounted for, an estate plan that hasn't been updated in a decade) the most valuable thing we do isn't pick investments. It's build a plan that accounts for all of it.
We chose to build an independent practice rather than work within a large corporate framework specifically because independence lets us design the work around the client's needs. We're not limited to a product menu or constrained by policies designed for hundreds of different advisor types. We work with the approach that's right for each client, backed by the resources of Raymond James Financial Services.
Our shared belief: client needs and objectives come first, always.

## Backed by Raymond James. Independent in Our Practice.

Investment advisory services are offered through Raymond James Financial Services Advisors, Inc. Westport Wealth Partners is not a registered broker/dealer and is independent of Raymond James Financial Services, Inc.
The Raymond James relationship gives our clients access to investment banking for business transactions, research, lending and banking solutions through Raymond James Bank, and the full infrastructure of a major full-service investment firm, while we maintain the independence to build each client's plan without institutional constraints.
For business owner clients specifically, the Raymond James investment banking platform is a differentiator that most boutique advisory practices simply cannot offer. When a client is ready to explore a transaction, we can coordinate the personal financial plan with the transaction process, not hand them off to a different firm.

## Who We Work With

We work best with clients whose financial situations have real complexity, people for whom portfolio management is a component of the solution, not the whole solution.
That includes [business owners](https://westportwealthpartners.com/who-we-serve/business-owners/) planning or considering an exit from their company, [private equity and hedge fund professionals](https://westportwealthpartners.com/who-we-serve/private-equity-hedge-fund-professionals/) with concentrated and illiquid wealth structures, [real estate investors](https://westportwealthpartners.com/who-we-serve/real-estate-investors/) whose net worth is tied up in hard assets, [healthcare practice owners](https://westportwealthpartners.com/who-we-serve/healthcare-practice-owners/) navigating a changing M&A landscape, [technology founders and executives](https://westportwealthpartners.com/who-we-serve/technology-founders/) managing equity concentration, [corporate executives](https://westportwealthpartners.com/who-we-serve/corporate-executives/) with complex compensation, and high-net-worth families across Fairfield County and Westchester County.
The common thread is that the financial plan matters as much as the investment strategy. Usually more.
